Book Reviews

“Where is Wisdom?” is Job 28 come to life through the form of a children’s book. This beautifully illustrated read takes the reader on a treasure hunt to find wisdom. But what is wisdom? And where do you find it? Follow along on the adventure to discover Jesus Christ is the greatest treasure and the fear of the Lord; that is wisdom. Though written for children, it will also encourage adults to read Job 28 with fresh eyes. Wisdom is hard to grasp. Therefore, I would recommend this book for middle age elementary students. I plan on using this book for family devotions and as a resource in our family library. I give it 4 stars.

The Great Farmapalooza is everything a children’s book should be! It consists of sturdy pages, vibrant colors, engaging text, and interactive lift the flaps. The rhyming verses give kids a glimpse into farm life. Plus, they will witness farm animals praising and worshiping God; encouraging your son/daughter to do the same. If you’re looking for a children’s book for ages 5 and under, The Great Farmapalooza will not disappoint. I give it 5 stars!

Book Recommendations

As a former teacher and life-long lover of reading, I get warm fuzzies when others ask me for book recommendations for their kiddos.

I adore the challenge of presenting a Mom with book titles based on their child’s specific interests. And if she comes back to me with a positive report and the question: Now what should I read to my child?! Well, I guess I can skip my caffeine for the day because I just got a compliment-energy-kick!

Many moms know the importance of reading aloud to their son/daughter but struggle to know where to start. If so, use the Book Recommendations portion of my blog as a resource to find excellent book titles.

Sisters, you know what I enjoy even MORE than giving book recommendations for littles? Receiving book recommendations! Please tell me what book you’re reading to your child and why they’re loving it! Who knows? The book you shared could be the next one posted on my blog.

Happy reading!
